Thrilled to be an Alumacraft owner!

Hi Kirk,

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how the boat is doing. So far it's been awesome!!!

I took my wife and kids out last Sunday night when I got home just for a cruise, they all love it!!!

I've made it out fishing twice with it now and got some nice fish both trips. I took the dog yesterday by myself, it got his approval as well. Much nicer than the cold hard aluminum he's used to.

I had read a lot about the Alumacraft ride, and you had talked about how dry the boats run as well. I haven't had it out in any serious waves yet but we have had some strong winds and decent 1' chop. I have run more than a few different Tiller boats over the years especially when I was guiding, and I have never ever been able to drive across the wind and not get completely soaked until this boat. I was amazed in a good 25 – 30 Km/h wind that I could run across the wind in about a 1' chop and the only time any spray at all came in the boat was if a gust of wind caught just as the boat hit a crest of a wave, and even then it was just the fine mist that made it in the boat.

Thanks again for everything, I don’t spend this kind of money lightly but from the first minute we talked I felt completely comfortable dealing with you and buying a boat from you. You by far were the most in touch with the product you are selling. From my experience you already have the 2 most important things, Customer Service and a Good Price.

There is another guy at work who is seriously considering buying a new boat. As well there is another guy who is hoping to be looking for one next year. I am recommending you strongly to both of them.

Thanks,
Sean

p.s. The biggest problem I’m having is finding enough time to get out fishing!

Boldrick Family Opens New Yamaha Dealership

A front line new dealership is something that the Municipality of Tweed has not had in decades. There has never been a new top brand ATV dealer and the last new snowmobile dealer was way back in the mid seventies.

Now, just open, is Tweed Recreational Sport and Lawn, the new full line Yamaha dealership located at the former Tweed Co-Op building. Owned by Ted and Darlene Boldrick and operated by Jeff and Kirk Boldrick, the dealership will feature many products from the Yamaha line including, of course, ATVs and snowmobiles, generators, suits, helmets and clothing. They will carry Gmax helmets, Kimpex and Motovan products and Gamma Sales. Tweed Recreational Sport and Lawn will also carry a full line of Husqvarna products including chain saws, snowblowers, lawnmowers (both push and riding) and many other products available from Husqvarna.

Boldricks purchased the former Co-Op building and began the renovation of the building by re-designing the interior with a showroom and separate service area to accommodate the Yamaha and Husqvarna line and service area for parts and accessories. In the 2,400 square foot showroom now are approximately 15 ATVs plus 4 Rhino's, Grizzlies and Raptors as well as Apex, Nytro, Bravo and Phazer snowmobiles. Other models of ATVs and snowmobiles are currently being assembled.
The new business venture for the two brothers will be opening at a good time just before hunting season and the snowmobile season.

It is a big change for them as they have been going through the training part of the business. They will both continue with their current jobs at Boldrick Truck and Auto, working at both businesses. They have hired Rick Crellin, sales and service and Neal Laviolette, technician, to head the Tweed Recreational Sport and Lawn part of the business. They were both employed at the Co-Op in Madoc where they handled the Yamaha sales and service there. It has been a big process for the Boldricks after getting approval from Yamaha, reconstruction of the building and getting in the "toys" that people are looking for. The brothers want to stress that there will be no change at Boldrick Truck and Auto.

For the spring and summer season the dealership will be carrying Yamaha boat motors, dirt bikes and possibly street bikes to add to their wide array of products. Yamaha is one of the top manufacturers in the world and the Boldricks are happy that they can bring the product line to the Municipality of Tweed and area. The boat motors and the motorcycles will be arriving at a later date. There is still lots of work ahead for the brothers as they test their product line and encourage you to "Play, Ride, Cruise, 'Til the Sun Goes Down." They can be reached at 613-478-3138.
